Our apprenticeship program provides the opportunity to earn a living family wage through On-The-Job Training (or O.J.T.) while learning the in-demand skills of the trade.
O.J.T. hours are working hours that help you learn while submitting time towards the mastery of the training program.
Related Technical Instruction (or R.T.I.) are hours in the classroom covering the technical aspects of that will ensure you have the knowledge you need to be a true industry professional.
Completing the R.T.I. as classes and instruction requirements will help you move up the wage scale and earn even MORE money!

Overview
- 2-Year program
- 4000-5000 on the job training hours
- 288 classroom hours
- You must be 18 years of age
Physical Requirements
You must be physically fit to work in the Solar Panel industry and pass our entry assessment, also known as “Bootcamp”.
Bootcamp is a 5-Day Process:
- Day 1: Drug Test and Enrollment Paperwork Day 2- Program Orientation
- Day 3 -4: Physical Agility Test
- Day 5: Oral Interview

R.S.I.
Related Technical Instruction (R.T.I.) involves logging 144 hours of classroom time for every 2000 hours of O.J.T. So over the course of your two-year apprenticeship, you will be backed by 288 hours of quality industry knowledge. Courses include fundamental need to know topics such as:
- Your #1 priority SAFETY so everyone always goes home safely
- Operation of heavy equipment and cutting-edge industry testing equipment & robotics
- Essential system construction techniques from project start to finish
- Learn about the tools of the trade
- Proper installation of racking systems including roof, ground, and carport structures
- Deep dive into the materials and components that make up a complete system
- Entities that govern solar installations including Federal, Local, and Utilities
- Project roles and inspections that are essential to smooth running projects
- Up to date time reporting and efficiency tracking software training
- SiteDocs Safety Management & Reporting software training
- Procore Construction Management software training

On the Job Instruction
Where you will learn, Cranes, Ridge, First Aid, you will obtain your OSHA 30 and most important be prepared for the next step on your career and skillset!
Apprentices shall be paid a progressively increasing schedule of wages based on either a percentage or a dollar amount of the current hourly journeyworker wage rate, which is $35.00 / per hour.

Before you can be accepted into our PV Electrial Installer Apprenticeship Program, you must meet these requirements:
- 4-year program
- 8000 on the job training hours
- 624 classroom hours
- You must be 18 years of age
Bootcamp
