Sol Orchard (2013)

El Centro, CA (IID Service Territory)

Sol Orchard, Imperial I is a 25MWdc/20MWac solar PV power facility commissioned and built in Q3-2013 in El Centro, CA. The project was interconnected with the IID’s transmission system at 92-kV. The project provides enough power for 7,500 homes.

Sustineo provided engineering design services for civil, electrical, and structural engineering. Sustineo acted as the engineer of record for electrical single-lines, as well as coordinated with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) on permitting review and approval. Site walks were conducted regularly with a multi-disciplinary engineering team advising on geotechnical, structural, electrical, and environmental issues.
